Word of the Day: Spatchcocked!!

Leave it to a Fergus Henderson menu to teach you a nifty new word:

"A spatchcock is a poussin or game bird [prepared by] removing the backbone and sternum of the bird and flattening it out before cooking." [via Wikipedia]

So, Spatchcocking = Butterflying.

(But way more fun to say and use in Scrabble.)

Sounds mean and laborious, but it's a good way to ensure faster, more even cooking of a critter that was never gonna fly again anyway.

the Ironic One may have issue with that word. I doubt it is in the scrabble dictionary. If it is not in the scrabble dictionary, it is apprently not a word.

So if an Irish guitarist strums only one chord and plays footsie with fx pedals, can he really be called a "guitarist"? I anxiously await for that version of "Rock Band."
